Virtual Gallery Walk: Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of our Virtual Gallery Walk

Today I want to share with you how I am inspired by bold, bright colors. Here you can see my palette (a wood box filled with opened Claudine Hellmuth paint tubs, LoL) -- these colors make my heart happy -- just looking at the photo of all those opened tubs makes me want to stop what I am doing IMMEDIATELY and go get paint all over myself and a piece of paper. It makes me happy. I really believe that color has the ability to alter and affect (effect??) our mood and change our attitudes.

Last January I stumbled on, experimented with -- a new way of creating art in my art journal that has really evolved the last 10 months to a style that I really really love.

The colors are bright and bold, and make me happy! They make a lot of people happy.
But what I got from that post -- and subsequent posts -- is that many people are afraid of color.
I AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT THERE IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF!
Get yourself a color wheel and start playing with color mixing, paint with JUST three colors and see what other colors you can mix. Experiment and be as bold as the color -- soak it all in through playing with your paint! Get messy. If nothing, you'll be happy from the time spent with all those pretty colors.
Be inspired by color -- Like I am, it's a life changer.

  1. You brave girl you! I am also afraid of color, it seems so "PERMANENT". My home and closet for the most part reflect this. I feel so brazen when I add a pop of color here or there. Thank you for sharing
