Pleasant Surprise in the mail!

I've been waiting and waiting for the latest issue of Sew Somerset to hit my mailbox...somewhat impatiently - but thankfully it came today! I've got two articles in it and I was pretty excited about seeing them.

When my boy came in with the mail today - I ripped open the plastic and opened up to where my articles are. Then, I proudly (but quickly showed him) and set it down on the table to get ready for his cross-country practice. Then, I saw my name on the front cover and had to look again....
I had no idea that they done that....so what a pleasant surprise! THANKS Sew Somerset!!

Sunday in my art group we all made little glass houses, plus I made a couple more ATC's. Karen was so thoughtfull and had all the glass cut out so all we had to do was decorate them. I just loved this Tim Holtz stamp - it originally said 9724 - but since my boy's birthday is 9-24 I scratched off the 7 and put a heart there....the family with the new baby - well I don't need to explain that. I love the shadow that it makes, but need to find the perfect charm to dangle off the jump ring on the bottom. I am hoping I can find a silver house - but may settle for a silver heart. The second house is one that I made several weeks ago when Karen came for a craft Monday at my house. I think I like the clear one best, do you?

I taught my first "private lesson" in scrapbooking today. Faith is quite a nice lady, I'm looking forward to her next lesson.

This week is another crazy week: hair appointment, final cross country regional meet, annual dr. appt. just to name a few....so hopefully I'll be posting more this week!

Thanks for visiting - and hope you have a great day!
