Love and Cherish Canvas

Love and Cherish Canvas Originally uploaded by CatherineScanlon
This is another project that I made quite some time ago, meaning to start an ETSY shop, and never having the courage to do it...and it sat around for so long...it's been sitting on my secretary for quite some time, and I am enjoying it...but I think I'm going to put it on Etsy now, now that I have the courage...and have the shop...and DON'T have the room anymore! It was such a fun project to make, and you can see that it was made a while ago by looking at the proejcts: Mara Johnson papers, OLD Heidi Swapp rubs, chipboard and hearts...the dove inside the charm is a vintage charm that I picked up at a flea market or something. The overall size is 8 x 12, don't you think it would make a beautiful Wedding gift? I do. Wish I knew someone getting married!

  3. Now I know it will be hard for you to part with this, but I want to a sure you that it will get a place of honor in my 'wedding' corner. I fell in love with it when it came across my email screen. Me & hubby ended up with a 'fairy tale' ending after some bad times and so we cherish everyday and then again every year by renewing our vows because we know how lucky we are to have gotten a second chance and then the fairy tale ending. I'll post a picture on my blog after it arrives. Thanks so much for your art.

  5. Catherine, this is gorgeous and would be perfect for a young bride -- a shower gift for her to keep some treasures!

I'm smiling at your comments -- I now have the courage and the etsy shop -- I think we were separated at birth -- that was how I felt for the longest time. Now I risk and actually enjoy the risk. And the more I risk, the more I love my own art...go figure!! :)

  6. Oh hey, I see someone is already claiming this -- and not a new bride but a bride who knows about the turbulence and the ups and downs of marriage but truly understands the word "cherish". How lovely!!!

  9. Catherine, I discovered your blog and what looks like great books from another blog, but too late for the contest, I've just added them to my wish list. This piece is lovely as is all that I have seen so far. I have enjoyed the visit and have put a link on my blog so that I can return.

  13. Catherine, It arrived today and is even more beautiful in person. It now has a place of honor and I'll take a picture and blog about it tomorrow. Is it okay if I link your Etsy shop for people to visit?
