Completely. I've been sitting here for 15 minutes trying to put my feelings in this post and I can't. So I think I'll list the emotions I'm feeling right now.
grateful
inspired
amazed
speechless
happy.......... from the wonderful comments and messages I've received about my Creative JumpStart 2013.
The funny thing is -- as I had watched some of the other Jumps I was nervous. Worried even that my jump wasn't going to be very good and I even thought of asking Nat if I could re-do my whole video and all three techniques.
But I didn't.
My heart is full and I wish I had time to make create something in my journal today to capture the feelings in my heart. Really, you will never know. Thank you ALL. So instead of new art I'll share pictures of the pages I created for the jump so you can see them separately from the video.
Jump # 1: What do you See?
BTW -- this is my ALL-TIME Favorite rut-buster ever!

ReplyDeleteCatherine - I am like one of the other commentors that said - why haven't I seen your stuff before - what a great job you did on your jump start video. First off, so cool you are a lefty 'cause it is really easy to watch a video with a left handed artist. Your first piece was so cool - did you have that motif in mind when you started painting or were you inspired to make the flowers once the watercolors dried? Thanks again for your sharing your art - your three demos provided something for everyone. Now, to peer through your blog for more inspiration. Most sincerest thanks.

ReplyDeleteI am going to repeat another person who commented - why haven't I found your art before. Your three demos were so inspiring - there was something for everyone. I especially liked the watercolor flower - did you have that design in mind all along or saw the vision when the paint had dried? Regardless, thank you for sharing. I will be lurking around your blog now for sure. Most sincerest thanks - terry
ReplyDeleteThank You for creating such a fabulous jump start for today...I am so happy you didn't change a thing! I am a rubber stamper and never thought I needed an art journal. But my word for this year is exploration. So I took a depth beathe, relaxed with my morning coffee and said YES! at the end. Perhaps no one ever shared what their art journal. This truly is a new jump start for me. MANY THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing your Techniques. It was simply amazing to see what you see in the "Mess" Love it. And the other 2 are so great too. Sit here and think only Wow.

Thanks again and I will visit your blog regularly since I added you to my favorites! I could feel the passion through out the video. It looked soothing and what about the wonderful music! Thanks again! Jo.
ReplyDeleteCat, I absolutely LOVE your video!! I was a little behind so I didn't get to watch it until today. You are so inspiring! I love the no talking and listening to the music and just watching you create. Thank you so much for sharing! I'm excited to try some of your techniques in my art journal (I'm new to it.) and I'm sure I'll be watching your video several times!! I'm so glad you didn't change your video!!
ReplyDeleteI just sat transfixed Catherine at your amazing talent and the equally wonderful way you share it with all of us. I couldn't journal before I did one of your courses, and it is still a hit and miss journey. But I love all the techniques and prompts you have given in all your courses, but these videos were awesome. Just off to watch it again!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are just gorgeous!

I'm here from Creative Jump Start. I loved your video and must say that it went beyond "technique" for me. I am truly inspired and wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to do the video. I can finally see how an art journal can be meaningful without being so exposed. Lots of people and classes don't always focus on the journaling and while there are some great techniques and great creative play I want to incorporate the real words, my words, that matter.
