It's also that time of the month -- where I join Tina Walker (A Dog's Life) to share our completed pages from My Artful Life Planner with you.
For this page, I thought I'd do a little step by step -- so you can see my process. For this page I used mostly DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics -- and I am totally in love with them. I did supplement the color with some Color Burst Watercolor Pigment from Ken Oliver, which I also love.
For the blank page that is included in the planner, I colored this page that I had prepared in February. I used a a real mixed bag of mediums on this one: colored pencil, watercolor, fluid acrylics, a gold gel pen and my trusty and beloved Tombow Dual Tip Brush Markers.
I started out with Cerulean Blue Fluid Acrylic and watered it down to paint the background.
Color Burst Orange added a nice pop of color.
And then back to the Fluid Acrylic, I just love this green color.
Sakura Gelly Pens are perfect for a spot of opaque color.
Next up, Purple Color Burst.
And finally some yellow fluid acrylic, with final touches of gold with a Uni-Ball Pen.
And that's it -- coloring the pages is simple and fun - and depending on the medium you use -- very transportable!
I also added a tip in (page on the left below) and prepped the next grid page for April. I attach the tip-in pages with a patterned scotch washi on the outside and invisible tape on the inside. I like adding them as they give me a place to use like a notebook and I can hide notes etc that I don't necessarily want people to see if I'm sharing it.
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a lovely week and see you next month! Check out Tina's pages here, on her newly designed website:
You always amaze! I just love your designs! They are funky, fun, and timeless! I never get tired of 'coloring'! :) I am so enjoying my monthly journaling and can't wait to share April's.
